In the heart of Battersea, GoBig Site Services was tasked with delivering 12 storage containers for Get Yards and Easy Storage into a site considered by many to be logistically impossible.

The access point was a narrow, 9ft-wide tunnel- far too tight for traditional delivery vehicles or lifting equipment. This project demanded not only specialised machinery, but also precision planning and execution.

The Challenge

The narrow tunnel limited all conventional options for container delivery. Traditional trucks and cranes were out of the question. The site itself also featured uneven terrain, adding another layer of complexity to the placement and levelling process.

The Solution

To overcome the access limitations, we deployed our compact tracked Container Mover, designed specifically for navigating confined spaces. Each container was carefully moved through the tunnel in stages, ensuring safety and accuracy at every step.

Once inside the yard, we used toe jacks and timber blocking to methodically level each container. This ensured every unit was safely positioned, stable, and fully functional, despite the uneven ground beneath.

The Result

In total, 12 containers were successfully delivered and installed in a space that was previously considered inaccessible. The site is now a fully operational container yard, providing flexible storage solutions in the heart of London.
