When a client asked us, “Can you take a container around a lake?” we knew this was exactly the sort of challenge we enjoy.

The project involved delivering and positioning a container in a highly restricted location, with the access route running along a narrow lakeside path. The job presented multiple challenges that many container moving companies might have been reluctant to take on, from unstable ground conditions and limited manoeuvring space, to overhanging tree coverage and complex logistics.

Our response? “No problem”.

The Challenge

The site featured a winding route around a lake, with tight access paths not designed for standard HGV movements. Ground conditions were soft and uneven, requiring careful planning to avoid damage to the landscape and ensure safe transit. Tree coverage further restricted height and turning clearance, making conventional container delivery methods unsuitable.

Accuracy was critical- not only to successfully navigate the route, but also to position the container precisely at its final location without disruption to the surrounding environment.

Our Solution

Working closely alongside Lendon Containers and B. Everett Transport Limited, we developed a tailored delivery plan that accounted for every aspect of the site’s constraints.

By utilising our specialist Container Mover system, we were able to transport the container safely along the narrow lakeside route with full control at every stage. The precision and flexibility of our container mule allowed us to handle the uneven ground conditions and tight clearances with confidence, where standard haulage alone would not have been viable.

Detailed pre-planning, clear communication between all parties, and experienced operators on site ensured the move ran smoothly from start to finish.

The Result

The container was successfully delivered and positioned exactly as required, with no damage to the surrounding landscape and no compromise on safety. What initially appeared to be a highly complex logistical challenge was completed efficiently and professionally, demonstrating once again the value of specialist equipment and experienced teams.
